Quintin

Quintin, a Petite Cité de Caractère located 18 km from Saint-Brieuc, owes its past fortune to the linen industry. Until the end of the 18th century, the town was known as the most important centre of the “Bretagnes” linen factory.

From this prosperous past, Quintin has preserved a rich architectural heritage, with fifteen listed or classified historic monuments: merchants’ town houses, stylish houses, churches and remarkable fountains.

With a population of less than 3,000, Quintin is the hub of public, administrative and economic services for a catchment area of almost 12,000 inhabitants. The town is also lively with the 2,500 pupils and students who attend its schools every day, including a general high school and a professional high school specialised in stone-cutting.
