Nuit des châteaux Quintin

Exceptional closure of the Château de Quintin

Following the latest measures announced by the government, the Château de Quintin is exceptionally closed to visitors until further notice.

In addition to home schooling, the family on site takes advantage of this period of confinement to restore the park: pruning of roses, boxwood, hydrangeas, weeding and mulching of flowerbeds, maintenance of paths and lawns, felling of eight lime trees in the quincunx overlooking the canvas street, felling of hedges near the old castle … Various works also occupy us: repairing the joints of a small courtyard (the children had a lot of fun helping us with their trowel) and refurbishing the reception/shop.

This time of confinement also gives us the time to supervise three groups of students from a distance: the 1er group from the Saint Brieuc pro tourism degree had to rethink the signage and the tour route of our exhibition on tableware. The 2th group from the Audencia School in Nantes and in partnership with the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, is currently working on the exhibition projects that will be held in the basement of the old castle. Finally, the 3 group, still in partnership with Audencia, is carrying out an inventory of our current communication strategy and will make recommendations to improve it, the main objective being to increase our attendance of individual visitors.

This period finally is the opportunity to redesign our website which lacked ergonomics. You can already discover on these pages the result, the fruit of a precious collaboration with our service provider Elyazalée!
